Qualifications and experience
Martin Storey's background is in Petrophysics and Computing. He has over 22 years oil industry experience, inc. as a logging engineer, a well site Petroleum Engineer, a Petrophysicist, a trainer and an independent consultant. Between 2001 and 2005, Martin was a Director, Senior Consultant and Trainer for the Asia-Pacific office of TRACS International. Between 2001 and 2010, he was the Senior Development Petrophysics Advisor for INPEX in Perth, Western Australia. He is currently consulting for several operating and service companies in Perth.
In addition to a broad petrophysical background (inc. field review, mixed vintage logs, time-lapse study, etc), he has extensive experience of operations (logging, planning, supervision, HSE - exploration, appraisal, and development wells, horizontal holes, side-tracks). Martin is an expert in Petrophysical data management.
Prior to his nearly 13 years of consulting, he has worked for Schlumberger in South America as a logging engineer, and for Shell International, in Gabon then in Brunei Darussalam, as a Petrophysicist.
Martin holds a B.Sc. in Mathematical and Computer Sciences from Stanford University (1985), and an M.Sc. in Electrical Engineering from the California Institute of Technology (1987).
